Looking forward to it, and all ready to go! :)))
Got my 2 books and have read more than half of one of them already…..
yay! I’m ready!
I fear I have FAILED in this! Oh dear! Will see what I can dig out, referring back to your previous post. I might have over-burdened myself, though …
Right, I have in the past read The Wedding Group https://librofulltime.wordpress.com/2012/10/09/book-reviews-29/ by Elizabeth Taylor and Iris Murdoch’s The Nice and the Good which I reviewed tinily here https://librofulltime.wordpress.com/2008/11/16/iris-murdoch-the-nice-and-the-good/
I’ve read many books from 1968, but have only reviewed one in the past, but what a good one it was!
https://lizzysiddal.wordpress.com/2016/02/01/the-salzburg-connection-helen-macinnes/
Seems I’m drawn to spy novels from that era, because I’ve read and reviewed a Le Carré for the 1968 Club
https://lizzysiddal.wordpress.com/2017/10/30/a-small-town-in-germany-john-le-carre/
I’ve read a couple. Here’s my first one:

Hi Simon,
Many thanks for co-hosting another Club. Here’s my contribution to the 1968 vintage:
https://jacquiwine.wordpress.com/2017/10/31/slouching-towards-bethlehem-by-joan-didion/
I read Another Part of the Wood (Beryl Bainbridge)
https://thebooktrunkblog.wordpress.com/2017/10/31/another-part-of-the-wood/
Hi Simon – I’ve been having a great time reading posts on and writing for the 1968 Club. It’s children’s books from me… https://literasaurus.wordpress.com/2017/10/31/1968club-children-were-reading-books-too/
Thanks for all the new additions to Mount #TBR!
Faye
Here’s my first one – http://annabookbel.net/1968-club-1 another coming on Thurs
I’ve read at least two books from 1968 – I read. Erich von Daniken;s “Chariots of the Gods”.in about 1972. A far fetched theory about space craft (though I do remember a conversation in 1973 with a professor of Assyriology from London University in which he said that he had been to speak to students at Cambridge to denounce the ludicrous ideas). The second was a Kestrel for a Knave by Barry Hines – turned into a wonderful film (“Kes”) but also a brief and beautiful book I read in 1976. There is also Rosie’s walk by Pay Hutchens – which was possibly the first 1968 book you read
Another one read and posted… The Wedding Group, by Elizabeth Taylor.

Hello, Simon! Here’s a link to my 1968 Club selection, True Grit by Charles Portis. Westerns are not a genre that I read, but I gave this novel a try and really enjoyed it:
https://monicasbookishlife.blogspot.com/2017/11/a-selection-for-1968-club-true-grit-by.html
Here is my contribution – hoping to finish another in the next few days.
Cousin Kate by Georgette Heyer
Staircase Wit

Thanks for including me!
Simon, can you add this, please?
Sorry I missed this one, Constance!
I’ve also read Cousin Kate, seems a popular choice — but what is not to love about Georgette Heyer?

I’m still reading A Small Town in Germany, hoping to get it finished soon, but here are a few 1968 books I’ve read previously. https://piningforthewest.co.uk/2017/11/03/the-1968-club/
Hi Simon,
I’ve read and reviewed ‘The Secret House of Death’ by Ruth Rendell for the 1968 club here: https://brieferthanliteralstatement.blogspot.co.uk/2017/11/a-ruth-rendell-for-1968-club.html

Another one from me. Pax Britannica by Jan Morris. https://brieferthanliteralstatement.blogspot.co.uk/2017/11/pax-britannica-jan-morris-for-1968-club.html
thanks,
Victoria
Squeaking in before the deadline with The Whispering Mountain by Joan Aiken, http://www.stuckinabook.com/1968club-starts-tomorrow/
This is a sort of prequel to her better known The Wolves of Willoughby Chase
I only managed one – Georgette Heyer’s ‘Cousin Kate’ but I’m delighted to have read it in this context because it made me think about it in an entirely different way. http://desperatereader.blogspot.co.uk/2017/11/1968-book-club-cousin-kate-georgette.html
Hello! I’ve reviewed The Grain of Truth by Nina Bawden: https://corvuscornix.wordpress.com/2017/11/05/the-grain-of-truth-by-nina-bawden-1968/
Alexa by Andrea Newman: https://corvuscornix.wordpress.com/2017/11/05/186/
And, by the way, thank you!
A day late I’m afraid – A Small Town in Germany by John Le Carre. https://piningforthewest.co.uk/2017/11/06/a-small-town-in-germany-by-john-le-carre-the-1968-week/
