I’m not going to be very wordy today, as I have a cold and a late night… but I just wanted to post you in the direction of a new blog! A new blog, but not a new blogger… lovely Darlene, who we once knew as Roses Over a Cottage Door, is now blogging at Cosy Books. Pop by and say hello – because the first book she’s written about there is brilliant.
And, because this post feels absurdly short, here is a little photo diary of what happened when Sherpa spotted my camera cord…
Hopefully more posts this week, depending on how beleaguered I’m feeling! But they may be short…
Hope you are feeling better soon!
thanks Susan :) still pretty deathly at the moment, but I hope I'm over the worst of the cold.
Will have a look Simon and isn't Sherpa just the loveliest little thing?
isn't she! She often looks grumpy or stupid in photos, so I was pleased to capture her usual alert excitement!
Get well soon, Simon! Lovely pictures, Sherpa looks adorable.
I miss her very much!
thanks Agnieszka :)
Hope you are soon feeling better!
thank you!
You poor thing, Simon. I bought Twinings Lemon and Ginger tea for the cold season and it's really nice. Cup your hands around a big mug of that and by the end of it you can actually breathe!
It was lovely of you to mention my new blog and Sherpa, my goodness – how sweet!
Oh, ginger sounds nice right now… I'm currently relying on lots of packet soups, but they don't aid the breathing.
Feel better soon, Simon! And oho your kitten made me laugh. One thing: I have discovered this immune system booster tonic called Sambucol – you can get it at Boots – and it seems to be pretty excellent. I have been tipping it down my son's throat and despite his desperate teenage bad habits (late nights, mad flurries of work) it's kept him mostly healthy so far this winter (crossing fingers, touching wood, etc). It tastes nice too (or no way would I have got him to take it!).
Oo, not heard of that – I'm always willing to try something to help my poor old wretched immune system…
Simon, what are you doing to me?!? I am starting to like cats because of all these adorable photos of Sherpa.
I've been fighting a cold too this week (and writing equally short posts) so rest up and hopefully we'll both soon feel better.
You WILL love cats by the time I'm through with you, Claire!
Let's both get better, eh?
Thanks for the redirect, Simon. I hadn't even realised Darlene had upped stakes. I thought she was taking a bit of a rest.
I was worried that she'd disappeared for good, so the new blog was a very welcome sight. And a welcome site, I suppose!
Hope you feel better soon! Sherpa is so cute!
thanks Stefanie :)
Feel better soon Simon, and thank you (I think!) for the new blog.
thanks Sarah :)
You will love Darlene's blog, if you didn't know her before! She's very, very doveish.
As long as you include a picture of Sherpa going all goggle-eyed adorable, a post is infinite!
Agreed! I love it when she looks all excited like that.
