Come and see me at the Marlborough Literary Festival!

Friends, I have exciting news!

I’m going to be speaking at the Marlborough Literary Festival on 29 September – discussing all things British Library Women Writers. As you can imagine, I leapt at the chance. I’ll be talking about my favourites from the series, some of the obstacles and solutions in finding rights, and (since it’s in Wiltshire), the book in the series with a Wiltshire connection.

When I was speaking to the Marlborough Literary Festival team about it, they asked if I could think of anybody who might want to interview me – and naturally I thought of my ‘Tea or Books?’ co-host, Rachel! So fans of the podcast – this is our first ‘on the road’ episode, sort of.

You can get tickets now on the Marlborough Literary Festival website – do come and say hello if you come along.

How exciting!! You’ll have a brilliant time and I wish I could hear your talk. I’ve run out of holiday, though, possibly forever, after Somerset. So I’m hoping you’ll report back fully afterwards.

How exciting that you and Rachel will be doing an in-person event together! I’m sure it will be a sold-out event. For Tea or Books fans across the globe, is there any chance of recording the show and sharing on the podcast?

Wow – a show on the road – brilliant. I would love to be there but sadly can’t see it happening. As others have commented, I would definitely listen to your discussion if it were to be recorded.
BTW – did I seem to remember that you and Rachel were recording this month’s tea or books (talking about A Room of One’s Own and A Bookshop of One’s Own), a few weeks ago. Is that still to happen/has happened? I’m eager to find out what you two thought about those books!

I think we had to postpone the recording – but it is done and it will be out tomorrow!

Exciting! I don’t think I’ll be able to come as I have the Iris Murdoch Society Conference at the end of August and I’ve spent all my money on that, it seems, plus have a holiday booked early October. But I’m sure you’ll do brilliantly and have a great time. Best of luck!
