Great British Bake Off: now in the US!

A few people have been in touch to tell me that The Great British Bake Off is now available on US television! On PBS, to be precise, and now called The Great British Baking Show. They’re three episodes in, but I’m sure you can catch up… and it also means you can read my Bake Off recaps and they’ll make a little more sense!

The tag for my recaps is here, but they will appear in reverse…

I think they probably changed the name of the show because the Pillsbury company has been hosting the Pillsbury Bake-Off for 47 years and have trademarked the work "Bake-Off".

Love it so far, although I did see who won as I watched the finale when I was in London. But I still adore the drama and the suspense and the amazing baking!

My station showing yet at extremely odd times, so I'm thankful I can record it. They also seem to be showing it out of order, or maybe that's just the way my Tivo is recording. I had avoided your recaps this time, because I was so grumpy about not getting to see these episodes, so now I have the fun of going back and reading them.

Simon, I've read your recaps and enjoyed them all along, and now that I can see the show you've been reviewing for us, I'm all the more appreciative of the terrific job you've been doing. Thank you!

Yes! I am totally addicted. Dinner is early on Sunday so I can watch the show and then Downton after–a perfect line up and a perfect way to end the weekend. I only wish I were so talented. Then I stream the shows during the work week and watch them again as regular TV is pretty much rubbish!

Thanks to you and your blog, I was ready for this show to be aired here in the states. I give you credit for my fondness of the show in my new book blog.
http://www.bookbarmy.com. My blog roll is still under construction, but Stuck in a Book and Shiny New Books were first to be added. Thank you for your blog. Any advice for new book bloggers?
