Have a fantastic time and don't hurt yourself when you are carrying all of those books home! :)

Thank goodness for a car! I have carried enormous quantities of books home from Edinburgh (train) and London (coach) before, and it doesn't bear considering…

Can't wait for the report. We are all jealous over here, but we won't hold it against you as long as you share pictures of your loot. :)

I'm a very democratic book buyer – I tell everyone! It was such a fun day.

Wrap up well, it's bloody cold
work being a bookhunter, but be bold,
for in Hay there are many nooks
To find lots of new, old books.

The only thing, my sole complaint,
The one small point which was not pleasing:
I cannot lie, it wasn't warm,
In point of fact, 'twas &*£!?*@ freezing!

Merci! And I came back with Canada's finest (in my eyes) – Stephen Leacock.

I didn't dare go during Project 24! I did go shortly before and after it, though…

One of my dreams is to visit that book laden city. Through sheer chance I recently bought a book on-line and it turned out to have come from one of the many shops in Hay-on Wye. With my book I got a map of the city showing me the location of all the bookshops!

One day you must! Although there are slightly fewer bookshops every time – I do hope they manage to keep going. Those maps accumulate in my house everytime – I should send them out as souvenirs to would-be visitors like yourself!

Gosh, they are stunning, aren't they? I want to visit them all! Especially the one in Portugal.
