On Twitter this week, I decided it would be fun to pick 26 great books – an author for every letter of the alphabet. And it WAS fun. You can see what I chose here – do let me know if you have a go at your own, either on Twitter or blog or wherever!
Oh HI book twitter!
I’ve decided I’m going to share 26 brilliant books – an author for every letter of the alphabet. It’ll be a gradual thread. It’ll be fun.

What a great idea. Shall have to give this some serious thought before I can come up with a list as good as yours. Definitely a three pipe problem….
Ha, yes indeed!
I just love this idea and got a few new titles for my summer reading list. Thank you!
I am also thinking of what my list would be. Z trips me up, though. All I can think of is Emile Zola, and I’m not sure I liked any of his books well enough to put them on such a list …
Some letters are definitely harder than others. Oyeyemi is wonderful, but I don’t know if she’d have cropped up on people’s lists so often if her name didn’t start with O!
I see you like Virginia Wolf!
Got that right!
Hahaha I *just* did this myself recently, but I went by classic book titles rather than by author – X and Z were tough, let me tell you! 😅
