Quick update

Thanks so, so much to everyone for your prayers and kind words. I wanted to give a quick update – still no diagnosis, and still doing various tests etc., but I have been back to more-or-less normal for reading in the past few days.

Throughout all of this, symptoms have come and gone a lot, so I’m not counting my chickens yet – and I’m going to extend my blogging break a little – but didn’t want to go completely radio silence.

Oh good luck Simon – been thinking of you. Sometimes these viruses do seem to run and run before they finally go away – let’s fervently hope yours is now about to take its leave.

I think the diagnosis may be “Covid Anxiety”. My husband and I have also not felt well in various ways and on different days over the last few months. I do hope you’re feeling better soon.

I am so pleased that you are able to read again and pray that your sight remains good enough for reading. Viral illnesses that come and go seem much more debilitating so hope that you soon have a diagnosis. Sending you lots of love and prayers.

I always think of you when I re read E.M. Delafield, which I did recently, so glad you can read again. After having eye surgery a couple of years ago, I became a devotee of audio books in addition to reading books. It’s a revelation to hear Jane Austen on audio.
    Be very kind to yourself.

Viruses can be so persistent and debilitating. Reading again will be such a gift for you especially as you are confined to resting and recovering. Prayers still and more promised.
