I passed my sixth anniversary back in April, and since then have been intending to put together my annual collection of sketches. I always intended these to be a running part of Stuck-in-a-Book, but they come and go, depending on me remembering I do them, finding time to do them, and if anyone says nice things about them!
Clicking on the picture will, in each case, take you to the post in question… (the cartoons below include quite a few two-parters, but that should be obvious in each case…)
So nice to see them collected together — gorgeous. May inspiration continue to strike!
Thanks so much, Vicki!
Hands – free set – a masterpiece!!!
Oh, I was waiting for this post and I’m so glad it’s finally here! I can only say what I’ve said already: I admire your blog but I love your sketches. I hope you will keep drawing them. Hopefully I’ll move somewhere more permanent next month so I can hang the cartoons you’ve given me on the wall. I’ll send you a picture to give you an update of what’s happening with those :)
Thanks so much, Agnieszka, that's really lovely to hear – and I'd love to see the picture!
a wonderful collection of your past year in blogging and books ,simon ,all the best stu
thanks Stu!
Lovely stuff Simon – I always look forward to your sketches!
That's really lovely to hear, Karen! I'm always a tiny bit nervous about putting them up.
my favorite's the last one. they're wonderfully quirkly drawings. thanks for sharing.
Love the camping one, with a book for a tent – now there's an idea for enterprising designers!
I might even enjoy camping if someone came up with that in real life!
I always enjoy your sketches Simon. I think the Canadian books one is my favorite. Thanks for providing them in this collection!
Thanks very much Ruthiella :) I did enjoy coming up with the Canadian one, I have to confess!
I very much enjoyed your sketches, particularly the invading Germans and their effect on wine-drinking! Will there be more?
Thank you, that's lovely to hear! There will hopefully be more – I always intend to have more, but somehow forget to do them, or don't have inspiration. But I shall have to be determined with myself!
Thanks so much, Lissa!
