Rachel and I are recording episode 100 of Tea or Books? soon and, like episode 50, it’s going to be a special Q&A. So we’d love to hear your questions – and many thanks to those who’ve already sent them in.
Basically, ask anything you like – about books, about tea, about podcasting, about our lives. Just pop them in the comments below, or email teaorbooks@gmail.com
And Rachel’s new mic seemed to go down well on ep99, so hopefully those issues are sorted, at least to an extent… thank you for your patience with us.
P.S. I will be continuing #NovellasInNovember over the weekend, but I’m going to wait until Monday to do a round-up of what I read.
What do you each enjoy about podcasting, or what keeps you podcasting as opposed to just blogging? (I’m very glad you do both!)
What is the name of your intro music? How did you choose it?
How/why do you think you developed such a love for books and reading?
How many listeners do you have now? You mentioned increase after being on Backlisted. Looking forward to #100.
You talk a lot about the different publishers for the books that you enjoy: Dean Street Press, Furrowed Middlebrow, British Women’s and others. Can you give any pertinent information or background about some of these publishers?
Do you think that the way publishers/booksellers/libraries categorise books is generally helpful or off-putting? When and why is a particular novel categorised (or marketed) as, for example, “crime” or “fantasy” or “LGBTQ+” and when is it not?
My apologies if you have already devoted part of a “Tea or Books” podcast to this very topic; I am sorry to say I have only listened to a few of them.
Two:
Would you consider changing your intro music?
When you finish a book and were lukewarm about it, do you still keep it or do you donate it?
